Here is another interesting page from the University of Bologna. Notice
the references to Ulisse Aldrovandi at the University of Bologna, Andrea
Cesalpino whom I favor as the author of the VMS and whose herbarium is
preserved in Florence, and their mentor, Luca Ghini, from the University
of Pisa.
