The University of Chicago 's Photoreproductions Dept. will sell you a
microfilm of Dr. Walden's original typescript for a very reasonable price.
You may also be able to order hard copy of it, but that will cost you much
more. Most libraries have microfilm reader-printers, so I would recommend
doing it yourself.
If you need a copy of the original book (the translation will be pretty
confusing without it), I suggest getting microfilms from either the
Bancroft Library at UC Berkeley, or the Special Collections Department of
the UCLA Library.
The copy at UCLA is filmed better (text near the spine is not lost as
often), and apprears to be in better shape, but is missing the fold-out
plate of the plan of the book.
The UCLA Special Collections also has a very nice copy of the 1608
Frankfurt printing of the Steganographia, including the "Special Key". This
is also available on microfilm.
Hope this helps.
