Still, we should never let theories live or die depending
on spelling details from a time when this was simply not
important.

I asked the same question (about Kepler's assistant and
any possible relation with someone called Baresch) to a
knowledgeable historian about half a year ago, but
this didn't lead to any interesting information.

(I hope this one is also not going to spend three days to
get to the list :-)
