Experts agree that the illustrations should be
traced back to statues from classical times.
Do these experts suggest that the same type of sign language encodes hidden
meanings in (say) carvings (of sets of figures) or rows of statues? Or is
the language able to be read one symbol at a time - ie, a single statue or
image?
For example, an individual pose might be associated with a particular
astrological sign, or a constellation, or a degree (etc): and perhaps a
language could be a secondary mapping constructed on top of that (Aries -->
A, etc).
