On my (Unix) screen that `o' looks a bit lumpy, but whole. 
It comes out just fine on a 600 dpi laser printer.

That could be a screen resolution problem; try magnifying the image and
see whether the missing ink shows up. Or try setting the option
"Smooth text and graphics" in the "Preferences" dialog.
