VMS -- Botany (f57r) Golden Flowered Henbane
I came across this plant pretty much by accident. I wasn't even looking
for it; however, I remembered that I wasn't completely satisfied when
attempting to identify f51r as a different species of Henbane.
Hyoscyamus aureus is a species of Henbane which matches favorably to the
plant in f57r. I have found a limited amount of information on the
internet and would like to know more about the colors used in the VMS.
The comments accompanying the "Illustration" state that the example here
is referred to as Golden Flowered Henbane, and the colors pale yellow,
pink, brown and green are also associated with this plant. In addition,
the illustration comments indicate that this species of Henbane can be
found in Crete and Asia.
