Here is an interesting website that sells ancient herbals. This is one
of those places where if you have to ask you can't afford it.

Go to 'Search our database' and enter 'herbal' under 'Search term for
title or description' and then click on 'Search'. You should get over 50
herbal hits. The synopsis for each of the herbals provides a brief
insight into what was being studied by the herbalists of the past. Under
'View pictures' there may be a few sample pages of the plants being
studied.
