Re: (gulp?) fold the VMS...?
Hi all :-)
If I may, (gulp - don't shoot the messenger :-)
I would still like to suggest the FOLDING KEY (I know - i KNOW) sorry
but this is driving ME more ~nuts~ than you!!! ES to blame!! (ha.haa)
Thanks to Jim Reeds I have seen MORE of the effort here (1991) that is
actually pretty "effortless" I found on his site a page by Robert
Firth http://www.research.att.com/~reeds/voynich/firth/01.txt that has
on it's next to last paragraph QUOTE:
"Finally, look at the document. I
could not write English cursive this well, this consistently."
end QUOTE / (ref: NO errors etc..)
Dana is right (Firth too!) The Images went on 1st!
AND the "script" for the images is related to the PAGE it is on!
I do however - disagree with Firth on the _above quote_.. (nothing
personal Robert)... but being 1 of 12 ~Touched~ (yikes - yepper)..
(ha.haa)
I found the EASIEST thing to do (me a dumby too) was to WRITE the
script ... I CAN write OUT anything you like in ~Folded Key~ It flows
amazingly smooth - very nicely - "VERY Elegantly IT FLOWS!"
I sent Nick Pelling a fax last week before his vacation now
(a hardcopy of 5 day after ES) and noted
RE-reading it I actually mispelled "Fox" in my example of _english_
(vms NOT) " The Quick Brown Fox jumped over the lazy Dog " whatever.
(that was $$$ costly Denver to London 4 tries (ha.haaa))
ES? VMS? Nor I did NOT ERASE but continued as: think the FLOW here:
"The Quick Brown Fhx FOX jumped over the lazy dog"
~THIS~ is the _most logical_ way when you "GET the FOLD(ing)"
Hope this helps someone out there,
ES said "THIS (vms) was for _ALL!_"
Best to you & yours
