VMs: Interesting 12-Century Mosaics

I haven't had time to keep up with the postings here, but I ran across some reproductions in the August 2002 "Bible Review" that might be of interest. The article "Seven Luminous Days: The Creation Mosaics of Monreale" (beginning on page 62) includes detailed reproductions of mosaics found in the 12th-century Cathedral of Santa Maria Nuova in Monreale, Sicily, with plant-like forms pictured on pages 20 and 23 that are very reminiscent of Voynich-style flora.

Just thought this might be of interest.

A point or bit, being so small, marks infinite contrast with the All.
