I wonder what the explanation is for why f72r1 and f72r2 are not bound back to back in the copyflo? Notice that each has a conspicuous "hole" in the vellum (dark spot). An examination of the surrounding entries by the scribe appear to indicate that the "hole" existed from the beginning of when the VMS was first written as opposed to being a subsequent tear. This may also suggest that the scribe was working with limited funds or supplies and that the VMS was not written for a patron since I would expect that the vellum would have been discarded if the document were being funded from a wealth source.

...snip....
The last of the "sphere" circles is on 70r2, which also contains a
small paragraph to the right, quite possibly the lead-in paragraph
to the astrological section. The verso of this folio, and
therefore no allowance can be made for missing pages - is the
Pisces volvelle, so the zodiac must necessarily begin with Pisces.
My problem with your thinking that the pages are out of order is
that the "sphere" circles are in a logical order themselves, in
keeping with manuscripts from this time period........ snip
I GC & ALL :-)
Just a reminder, that I was told that the Stars are BIRTHS and a DOT
or darkened center denoted a succesful MALE Birth!
The full-bellied forms in these "astrological" nymphs may bear this
out yet.
Best to you & yours

Could the "ring-layers" be generational with your ordering?
