One would think that it might be relatively easy to identify a structure as big as a castle; however, as we know, during times of war castles may have been destroyed and later rebuilt with modifications. Upon closer observation, we might note that only one of the castle walls in the VMs appears to be clearly crowned with dovetail battlements and what are the spikes seen to the right where one of the castle walls appears to be hidden? Maybe a pair of towers? Of course this castle might be the product of the VMs author's fanciful imagination. I wonder if the grand architecture in Urbino could have influenced this imagination?
