VMs: Re: Boole's Treasure Chest

Actually,
Boole died before Ethel Lilian was born.
She was the youngest of several (four?)
sisters. His death is a story by itself.
(A google search will reveal all the details
which I can't remember now - use also Everest
as a search key word).

All in all, Voynich seems to have been
a clever and resourceful man, so I guess he
managed to make his fortune himself. Inventing
a noble title seems to be one good element in
this.

Note also that the Gadfly was already written
when Ethel Lilian and Voynich met or married
so Ethel would not have been badly off herself.

Cheers, Rene
