Furthermore, Baresch is mentioned 'in one breath'
with a certain Santinus (Santini)? This happens
again in Marci's book 'Philosophia Vetus Restituta'
(excerpt in http://www.voynich.nu/sources.html
if I am not mistaken).

I wonder who he is, and what his connection with
the MS (if any) is.

I agree that the Moretus diaries should be very
interesting indeed.
