I'm no graphologist, but if I compare this handwriting with *the* Marci
letter, then I see two different sets of handwriting. I showed it to my
wife
and she also said "That's not the same person." Well, look for yourself:

I was about to write a post making exactly this point. The
handwriting of the letter of 1666 in the Beinecke library is not
Marci's. However, the signature is his and it appears under the
words 'ad obsequia', 'in obedience to'. I think that an aging
Marci dictated the letter to a secretary.
