No, the "green children" story is very well-known. I must mention
here that Don Laycock was surprised at how small the VMS was (he
had had access to it during a sabbatical, around 1976). "It must
have been the work of faeries [notice the spelling]" I told him.
Even to this date, I don't know if he took me seriously (he died
in 1987).
