Re: VMs: Feedback on: Are there samples of dotless Arabic in existence?
FWIW(?) 'persistent' ES/steve :-)
ES said "it's old, very old", and 1054 is _closer_ than 16th c.
Crossbows go back in China to the BC's and I'm sure some wore hats.
Plants have always been around 'everywhere'.
Forts (Great wall?) too.
Naked women (no comment:-).
China had dragons? too.
Flowing Robes and hats abound in all cultures.
Stars always also studied (all cultures).
IF a VMS copy? might that explain the book binding(s) or does that go
back to 1000 (plus) too?
IF the vms is original "What can the _oldest_ possible DATE be?"
Best to you & yours
-=se=-
steve (fold it/flip it) ekwall
ps. has a punched out section of the vellum ever undergone (if not
carbon-14 / then other) testing, to scientifically DATE VMS?

I think you are refering to the much earlier supernova of 1054. That one was noted in China and Japan.

I thought it was only recorded in the Chinese annals?
