I am pretty confident that the spaces mean separation between words (see for
example the symbol correlation stats:

However I am still uneasy about consistently inserted null spaces and
redundant strings like the dain daiin substitution:
http://web.bham.ac.uk/G.Landini/evmt/daindaiin.htm
or worse: a non-consistently abbreviated script.
