I saw a good few reproductions of (probably) this same Arabic Dioscorides in the 15th Century hospital complex outside Edirne, in Northern Turkey... but I didn't know it had originally been copied in Baghdad.

How curious it would be if the VMS turns out to have been made in Iraq... (complete this thought however you wish). :-o [*]
