And, if it should read 'anchiton' instead, it is
indeed another stretch to make that being
part of Melanchthon. Is there a hole in the vellum,
or a scratched out part before?

Note also that the anchiton / anchicon reading
was already suggested by Jacques many years ago,
and I am quite interested to see that Toresella
makes out the same - and also comes up with a
reasonable reading for the smaller 'print'
at the top of the page. Note that he was looking
at the original. Nick: did he say anything
about the other extranesous writing (f17, f66)?

Of course, this line will forever be known as
michiton oladabas.
