Re: VMs: An Error in Allen's Star Names

Allen quotes Flammarion in giving one of the names

However, a couple of websites indicate that name

Hi Robert,
This is a quick shot ... I don't do astronomy.
According to a translation of
http://gallica.bnf.fr/scripts/ConsultationTout.exe?O=88260&T=2 Taschter is
a star associated with a planet. The English isn't too good, but, the idea
is there and the French is below it. If someone would please render a
better translation.
Thus, with the persian, every planete is
overseen by a placed genius in a star sets up;
l' star Taschter is loaded with planete Shooting
or of Mercury, that became l' angel Tiriel,
what the cabalistes call l' intelligence of
Mercury; Hafrorang is l' loaded star of the
Planete Behram or of March, etc. The names of these
stars are aujourd' hui the names d' as much d' angels
with the persian modern one.
Ainsi, chez les perses, chaque planete est
surveillée par un génie placé dans une étoile fixe ;
As Taurus (with Aldebaran) represents the Galactic anti-center, ie., the
direction of the exit of the LAST destruction (see LaViolette), Allen
continues his sentence: "this title Taschter, which Lenormant said
signified the Creator Spirit that caused rain and deluge; ..."
Nice reference there to God's Eye too.
This cyclical destruction was the single most important thought on the
minds of the ancients. Proof of this is found in the changing of the once
pristine Meso-America, where "the change" that was made by the Xi in the
indigenous culture was a change from a Goddess / Earth based culture, to a
Cosmological / Heavens based culture, beginning about 1200 BC. Their new
"Fire God" was directly connected to the two symbols of the destruction:
The Eye and the Cross. Centuries later, the continuation of this
information by the Maya has the solstice sun pointing toward the crossing
point between the galactic plane and the ecliptic which is 3 degrees of
longitude from the galactic center, source of the cyclical destruction.
regards
Jim
