VMs: Pisces
For whoever is keeping track of close matches to the Pisces image,
here is another to add to your collection.

I think somwhere the fish was identified as a sturgeon. If you'll
look closely at the detail of the head and the fins, it's easy to
imagine these two drawings being inspired by the same piece of
art. Interestingly enough, the almanac this image came from had
two images, Pisces and Cancer. Pisces was placed at the head of
February and Cancer at the head of June. Considering that the
calendar was out of whack some 10-11 days at this time, I wonder
if he was within astronomical bounds to place these one month off?
The zodiac section is not one of my big areas of study, but I
might have an alternate explanation for why no other book or
manuscript has two crayfish for Cancer. There are two fish in
Pisces, and also about twice the visual information on the page.
April and May are each split into two pages, light and dark, and
each page has about half the information of Pisces. Gemini has
twins, but the information falls short of almost double. Cancer
comes along, and again we have two crayfish and about twice the
visual information displayed on a single page. There's even one
light and one dark crayfish. I don't know if this theme would
have been carried out throughout the entire zodiac section, or if
it was intended to be, since I haven't really looked to see where
the missing pages are. It's just an alternate hypothesis, that
the author might have seen the light and dark aspects incorporated
in some signs, etc.
