VMs: Female mandrake

Another symbolic that might be of relevance is folio 100r, the
plant to the far right, second row.  This is drawn as a female
figure with very long hair.  A similar depiction of the female
mandrake exists in "The Grete Herball", 1526.  The frontispiece of
this book depicts both the male and female mandrake in human form,
both with "wild" hair.
