Hi everyone,

If (as I believe) you're referring to the Georg Hayniger MS, there are some nice gallows-like characters at the start of the paragraphs on pages 22v - 24v. :-)

This also has a load of recipes (with the almost obligatory iij's, frequently written as "m"): and, on page 57r - 60v, has some fragments of text written in Hayniger's "personal code", which looked like (at first glance) a monoalphabetic cipher (but I'm sure GC will be able to tell us for certain).

There's also a different gallows-like character at the start of paragraphs on 72r-72v.

Finally: I'm fascinated by the complex figure right at the end (f89r) - can anyone tell me what it is supposed to mean?

All in all, it has everything you ever wanted from a straight-down-the-line alchemical manuscript. :-)

Cheers, .....Nick Pelling.....
