It is not  so obvious...
The young women exist because they can transport by tubes their essence of
life by tubes to "bottles". Older women haven't this essence.
The conjunction of this essence, with flowers and plants, and stars made a
magical/alchemical recipes. The goal of these women is to give a element of
younger life to people who would like to have some.
