This was actually my first explanation for the half-spaces, but color
imaging of some of the pages changed that veiw. A close examination can
give you good insight into how many glyphs the author was able to write
before redipping. He does try to begin words with a fresh pen, but there is
reinking in the middle of words, etc., about every 5 glyphs or so.
Unfortunately there is no consistent indication that reinking occurred at
every half-space. I had to set that idea on the shelf and find another
reason for half-spaces.
