Unfortunately these have not been recorded. All things being equal, he
entered Cambridge 4 years before his brother Roger, who was born in 1515, so
he was probably born in 1510/11 or thereabouts. His death also goes
unrecorded, even at the Vicarage of Burneston. I've been trying to find out
when he was replaced at Burneston as Vicar, which would give me some idea,
but records this far back are hard to come by.

Anthony's last publication was in 1558, and Roger records in his letters to
Sturmius that a brother died in 1562. Whether this was Anthony is unknown.
One thing for certain is that any property belonging to Anthony would have
passed to his surviving family. As a Catholic priest, (he bacame a priest
in 1551), he would have not had a wife or children, so IF the VMS was his
work, it would have wound up in the hands of Roger Ascham, who died in 1568.
Roger's wife sold most of his property for want of cash, and friends helped
her get his last book published. IF the VMS were in her possession, it and
most of his library could easily have made its way to John Dee.... but's
that's more than you really asked for, isn't it? :-)
