VMs: Mini-conference...?

I've been thinking for a while about arranging a mini-conference at the end of this summer (say, early September), perhaps at the Wellcome Institute (as Philip Neal suggested before).

Pressures of work will hold me back from doing anything much for a few weeks yet, but I think it would be a Good Thing. Any comments?
