VMs: Conference update...

Hi everyone,

After a number of booking-related problems, I've finally decided two things:-
(1) that the natural home for a London-based VMS conference is the Warburg 
Institute (of which I am a great supporter)
(2) that trying to organise anything worthwhile in less than 5 weeks (as 
I've been attempting to do) is just trying too hard. :-(

So, I've opened a (slightly slower) dialogue with the Warburg about running 
a conference there on a Saturday reasonably soon, and will email to the 
list how that discussion proceeds. All in all, the Warburg's (probably 
unique) mixture of esotericism and academic authority would seem an 
excellent fit with the kind of broadly-inclusive colloquium I had in mind - 
I just hope that Charles Burnett agrees! :-)

PS: Rafal - sorry about this, but it just hasn't quite taken shape at the
