Re: Sherlock Holmes (was Re: VMs: Operators)



Actually, the Moon being created by a mars-sized object is a couple
decades old, at least.  This is the theory that I learned in grade
school and was shown in planetariums when I went to them more regularly.

But this isn't the proper forum to argue this ad nauseum.  The end-point
of this is that this is a well accepted theory [so much so it is now
considered fact].  There are too many experiments and properties of the
moon that show this to be true.

No, it's a fairly recent theory; not more than a couple
of years old. I've read a couple of the person you mention's
books, and I agree, it does sound like something of his.
