VMs: Multiple occurrences of a word
It is amazing how once you get into this the strangest things remind you of the VMS.
I was cleaning out a box of my grandmother's things in the basement last night and came across a small book that contains various religious forms, prayers, history, etc. The book is in Latin and French (she came from a small town in Maine where mass was given in Latin every day except one mass in French).
What struck me were several lines of Latin text - such as:
"Tibi Cherubim et Seraphim incessabili voce proclamant: Sanctus Sanctus Sanctus Dominus Deus Sabaoth"
and
"Alleluia alleluia alleluia O filii et filiae..."
Also, the lines:
"Quoniam die ac nocte gravata est super me manus tua; conversus sum in aerumna mea dum configitur spina. Delictum meum cognitum tibi feci; et injustitiam meam non adscondi."
Not that I think the VMs is religious in nature but it was interesting to see the repeated words in the first two cases and the similar words in the last case (me manus mea meum meam, sum dum aerumna). Maybe seeing this just reminded me why every time I look at the Voy I "see" Latin in there.
