The only thing one can do is assign bounds and
types based on the appearance. This will allow
people to check whether text appearing as labels
(or circular text) has different characteristics
or not...

Yes. We may reconsider that necessity in the mean
time and after having looked at the file I
see that quite a number of conventions have been
changed. No problem there.
Probably, VTT will not work anymore on this file
since the page header tags have been commented
out.
What is stil useful though is to standardise
the locator codes or block codes, so that the
various meanings of L, R or X etc are aligned.
Don't know if anyone is willing to do it or has
time....

We can stay basically with what we have, apart
from some trimming. Having a standard format can
only be helpful to people writing scripts
which can be exchanged, and for people willing
to do trancription.
