No, not really. But it might help Gabriele get an A. :-)


That's a big problem with semiotics - there are so many generalised frameworks just like this, and most of them tell you stuff you already know, in a way that doesn't really help you much.

Really, I find the most interesting semiotics papers are the ones tackling power relationships and politics through texts. But to most readers, they're probably the most questionable of the lot. :-)
