VMs: Italian origin?

Well, it seems that more than 60% of the words have some Italian meaning.
Some of them are obviously too modern to be originated at the supposed time
of the manuscript (telegraaf, nazi, televisita). I don't know the starting
base, so I cannot comment on the reliability or meaningfulness of the
results.
