VMs: Costamagna, Schiaparelli and Traube

This chapter of a work by Costamagna is about medieval shorthand in Italy, and it even contains some graphic examples:

http://archivi.beniculturali.it/Biblioteca/Costamagna/Capitolo%20quinto.PDF

Pages 91-94 are of special interest and would be nice to have in English... 'negenthropy' and the most frequently used sillables? vowels, composed consonants and abbreviated sillables? it all sounds very useful.

The author mentions a work by paleographers Ludwig Traube and Luigi Schiaparelli, "the most important study on the origin of the system, and it could be of interest to have at least an idea of the procedure most frequently used ."

I've been trying to isolate the title of this Schiaparelli/Traube collaboration, but if anyone knows, please come forward.
