VMs: Who invented EVA?

I know I am being lazy here, but I am writing
a very difficult article on the Easter Island
Tablet, and I just don't feel like going through
the archives, megabytes of them. I am sure
Gabriel Landini had a part in it, and...
can't think of the name(s). Could do a Google
search of course. And when was EVA brought
to the world?

I know, I shouldn't do this. I should find it
out myself.

The point I am making in my Easter Island 
article is that, without a efficient 
transcription system, there is little
hope of deciphering a lost language.
