but really, is the VMS never tested against tongues of American Indians?
When about "Okay" (in the same meaning as we use it worldwide), I got 2 theories 
about it's origin:
1) From Indian pidgin, used inter(Indian)nationally where today are California, 
Texas, (what more we have there? Oklahoma?), maybe Mexico
2) Maybe initially from Tshoktsho Indians (somebody can probably tell the 
correct spelling in English - could it be "Chokcho"?), who are today still 
quite numerous.

Well, the colonization of the New World could have many interesting, but 
forgotten passages...

If it's not the "Hohol" language from Eurasian steppe, could it be some
"Okey" language of grasslands (prairie) in another continent?
