Parts of the edging f67r2 certainly do look like the two 14th Century 
Portolan scales described - very interesting link, thanks! :-)

Don't forget also that there are some similar-looking marks on the "castle 
rosette" on the 9-rosette page, which seem to indicate distance along a 
canal or river (look at the N-E quadrant, with the castle at N).
