More on what's available from Beinecke. Unfortunately, I don't see quality
digital images included in this latest response.

The Beinecke does not provide color photocopies of the Voynich
manuscript. We do provide positive microfilm or copyflo prints (bound
black and white copies enlarged from microfilm).
Microfilm with domestic
shipping is $35.00
Copyflo prints with domestic shipping are
$40.00
Advance payment is required and should be mailed to the attention
of Ellen R. Cordes, Head of Public Services, at the P.O. Box address below our
signature. Please include a copy of this estimate with your payment.
Payment may be made by check payable to Beinecke Library or by MasterCard or
Visa number with an authorization signature and expiration date.
Overseas
customers paying by check are required to so in U.S. dollars drawn on an
American bank. For our legal records, remote credit card authorizations must
be sent by mail or fax, not E-mail. If additional payment is required, a bill
will be sent and must be paid before shipment.
You may also view images
from the Voynich manuscript at our Digital Image databases. Search by the
call number MS 408 in our Digital image databases at <
http://beinecke.library.yale.edu/dl_crosscollex/>,
being sure to select both the Photonegatives and Beinecke Digital Images
databases before searching. Click on a thumbnail image to see the Image Id
number and other cataloging information. Click "Save" above the thumbnail of an
image you need, then click on "My Group," then click on the "Make Page" button
and follow the directions for either ordering or e-mailing or downloading gratis
images to yourself. Most images are scanned from black and white
negatives although some appear in color because they were scanned from color
transparencies.
TIFFs are digital copies; photocopies are paper
copies. Copies you receive will not have the Yale seal. Each scan is
$15 plus the cost of the CD. 2-3 images can fit on each CD. The
manuscript is in poor condition but it is possible to order additional scans of
some pages if in good condition for an additional charge of $25 each
scan.

Dear Ellen
Cordes,
Thank you for your prompt response to my inquiry. I do
have some additional questions.
Are the TIFF and photo
copies the same as what appears in the Digital Library?
Do they
include the Yale University seal watermark?
Would there be a cost
savings to order more than one digital copy of MS 408 folios per CD or will
each folio copy cost $20, even if they are all included on the same
CD?
Are MS 408 copies available for folio pages that are not
included in the Digital Library?
Thank you very much for your
assistance.
Regards,
Dana Scott
