Re: VMs: Administrivia: Spam and the archive

Thanks Jim! No problem. If I could go a week without some mistake then I could pick on you. But then, S.U.'s mail goes through a pretty good spam filter so who would I be to complain anyways! <grin>

Petr called to my attention that email addresses were no longer
being anonymized in the mailing list archive; he noticed this by
being spammed at a hitherto "clean" address. It turns out that
when I changed to a new computer I forgot to bring along the mhonarc
initialization file that put this spam-guard in place. I'm rebuilding
and uploading the archive now, but thought you should know that if
you've posted to the list since the beginning of December 2003 your
email address has probably been harvested. It will still be available
in Google's cache until the next time their web spiders run through
the archive.

Sorry for any inconvenience and spam increase this might cause you.
