Exactly, yet some people would argue that <n> is not a character of its own, 
without never having done any counts at all.

In fact I counted about 140 (!) instances of <n> without preceeding <i>

Are those errors? Or should we assume that <a> is  <oi>? 
In that case <daiin> should be <doiiin>?...

...Or it would it be better to have <n> as a separate character?
