It will be a pleasure to check the sources for
what I wrote on my web site. Much comes from
Schmidl, but bits and pieces from other sources
have been merged in. I will get back on this.

The comments you provided so far are extremely
interesting. Jacobus is on the boundary between
the legendary and the documented history of the 
Voynich MS, so in that sense a key figure.
