GASP!!! Do you think inventing a language to the extent require to write
120 chartae in it is EASY? did you ever try? I would highly prefer to make
a 200-page text throwing dice and maybe shuffling it a bit not to look too
random then inventing a language to this extent (well, no! I would prefer
to invent the language, OF COURSE!, but I tried and I failed...)
This is NOT to say that the author(s) of the ms. did not do it, only that
it is mmmmmuch more complex than you seem to imply.
So - why isn't VMS a genuine unforged secretive document full of treasures
for us to uncover? That is what we are encouraged to believe. I believe I
recognise that I am being encouraged to believe it, and indeed that that
is the intention of the creators. They have done a great job. But I
don't believe it. It just doesn't feel right.
Well, I share the same feeling and it seems other do too...
We are left with a 'decypherment challenge' - that is not changed. What
we should recognize is that we might well be disappointed!
This also is probably a rather common feelings (I do not think Vms-ers
really belive to find King Solomon's secrets in the codex!)
Forgive these ramblings - if they are not to your taste. Maybe voynichese
is a disease?
For sure it is!!
