Merriam-Webster explains it as "Gibberish" in general. I'd assume the sentence 
should be read, "Stolfi has refused [the idea that it's] gibberish after he 
has..."

OTOH, it might be a nick name... "Double-dutch Stolfi" sounds like a thug from 
a Phillip Marlowe-novel. ;-)
