Could you provide a really simple slow description of what we are looking at in the triangular plot?

How do you get from VMS to that image - step by step?

(Let me state my fears - it's the astro section and the good quality match
is caused by all the labels - so it's just an artifact.) And now I'm going
to take a look at this section of the VMS ...
