>From what I have seen, they are far too rare for that - unless the infamous 
dark painter smudged away most of the instructions!  It does make sense for 
something like the violets on f9v, where the color is especially important.  
Of course, if these are instructions for the painter, they should be 
intelligible to mere mortals! :-)
