If this is a helio-centric representation then it dates the VMS to post-1541, copernicus's De revolutionibus orbium coelestium, making the author a contemporary of Rudolph II. Perhaps a comparison of the zodiac labels on 67r with those on the zodiacal pages?

and tell me if this is not a Copernican representation.

It could even represent the orbit of mars. After all the planet-like body it is coloured red. The shape at the centre looks like the sun to me.
