VMs: Warburg photos, and cat-and-mouse games...

Hi everyone,

A couple of things: firstly, the Warburg Institute now has a site with digitised scans of early books on astrology, with a description for each one by my friend David Juste.

Interestingly (certainly for Jean-Yves Artero and myself, if for no-one else), the first book in the set ("Albumasar, Flores") was printed in Venice by Johannes Baptista Sessa in 1488 or 1506 ("the date is missing"): and has essentially the same cat-and-mouse printers' motif as Wilfrid Voynich.

I'll do a bit more digging & update my page on this motif later. :-)

Cheers, ....Nick Pelling....
