Re: VMs: Similar Plant VMS and The Herbal of Dioscorides Pedanius



The three flowers at the top, the rows of pointed leaves and the oval root.  Of course the F17r version is missing the intermediate rows of flowers/or leaves along the sides.  I just saw it while thumbing through verious herbals and this one hit me as "I have seen this before".

Isn't the leaf structure rather different?  I do see the general
similarity, of course.
