VMs: Re: The Currier papers

Thanks, I had the Currier material, but I like the new format. Thanks again.
As you've said, it's a good reminder for those who have forgotten.
Currier's work was ground-breaking then, and even now none of it can be
rejected, only improved upon with updated information and improved analysis.
You're the one person I know for certain that has read Currier, followed his
logic, examined his tables, and understood his approach to transcription and
analysis based on statistical information. I know that you, like the
majority of us who examine the text in detail, utilize a modified Currier
alphabet in your work. If you don't mind, I'd ask for historical reference
only, what led you to participate in the EVMT and help produce a
transcription that has nothing to do with either observed or statistical
properties of the text, and is counter-intuitive the the very information
you've posted by Currier?
