It is the language of Easter Island, and yes, "tagata" is "man, person", and
"umu" is "underground oven". As for "hare" that would be "whare" in Maori,
"fale" in Samoan and (I am not 100% sure) "hale" in Hawaiian. "House" in other
words.
If you want to know what it means just do a google search for
the obvious, rare word: rapahago. It's the name of a benevolent
spirit.
